About Us
We are a first generation farm/ranch. Essentially, this means we are a "Start up" instead of having an existing family property or business to work in or take over. I began working on a local diversified organic farm when in high school, gaining experience in all aspects of animal production, irrigation, grazing management, hay production and row crop production of vegetables and seeds. During these early work experiences, I found an affinity for cattle and sheep production and ranching.
On graduating high school in 2008, I leased my first pasture for cattle, and embarked on raising my own cattle. In the fall of 2009, I marketed beef directly to customers for the first time. It’s a blessing that some of those customers that took a chance on a kid starting out are still customers and friends till today.
While beginning the ranching journey, I attained a bachelor’s degree in business. Being a first-generation operation, access to land is a unique challenge. We have been fortunate to work with great landowners as we grew production and have leased land that we have operated on for the last 15 years. We have slowly transitioned into land ownership. The ability to produce on our land and work to improve it, knowing it will serve generations to come, is a huge honor.
